Wednesday 11th November

Cloudy ( Bright Spells pm), SE f1

Despite adding Coal Tit to the monthly list ( 61), todays visit to Cortonwood, was probably the worst visit ever, in the history of worst ever visits to Cortonwood. Zzzzzzzzzzzz.
Perhaps it`s the calm before the storm ( a precursor of a patch first ? i dunno.....).

Galerina mutabilis : aka Two-toned Pholiota/Brown Stew Fungus.
Thanks to Greenie, for the id.

Dean ,
Best shot at your fungi from this distance would be Galerina mutabilis .
Hope that rare one shows up .

Thanks for the id, Greenie. Much appreciated.
I also hope something rare turns up.

Think i`d have chucked my bins in the lake, Warren.

Cheers, Stewart. I had Waxwings at the beginning of the year, so i`ll settle for that Snow Bunt. The summit of the spoil heap looks a good bet for one. Fingers crossed, hey....

Fingers crossed indeed. Did you go home stamping your feet in a huff? :-)

No huffing or stamping of feet, Toffeeapple. Just a feeling of dismay....

Talking of the calm before the storm, I think I might be out scouring local reservoirs after this evenings deluge has done it's worst.

Hope you did ok, Will.
I`ve been to busy to any birding, over the last 2 days.
